Well, another month has gone by in the blink of an eye. I apologize for the lack of postings, but I'll try to update at least once a month. We have survived my return to work so far. It has been 3 weeks, and I have been able to adjust to the office environment again. Amazingly, in some ways it feels like I never left! Austin finally decided to take the bottle after a couple of weeks at daycare, and he is sleeping MUCH better at night starting this week. I find that I really only have to get up once or twice a night now, so it is a whole lot easier for me to function at work during the day! Some of you have asked what my days are like -- here's a quickie summary: 5am wake up and shower; work from home until 7am; wake up the kids (yes, ironically they usually sleep really well at this time and I have to wake them up) and get them to daycare at 7:45am, get myself to work at 8am, 10am pump, 12pm visit Austin at daycare to feed him, work, 3pm pump again, 5:30pm go home, 6pm dinner, 7:30-8:30 get the kids to bed, make lunches and pack bags for the next day, 9:30 bedtime. Exhausting, but I would never trade this experience of having a family for anything! All of you parents out there know what I mean...Also, thank goodness we have some excellent help from my parents and friends!
Last weekend, we had a few guests come up for a visit. My good friend, Apple, from high school, and her family Bill, Torin, and Rowan drove up all the way from Reno to come see us! It was such a fun weekend as the boys are all about the same ages. Torin and Tristan are only a couple of weeks apart, and baby Rowan and Austin are only a month apart. We all had a wonderful time together, especially the older boys who got into plenty of trouble together, especially with the garden hose :)
