It's been a pretty cool/rainy summer so far, but we try to get outside whenever we can to let Tristan vent off some energy! Tristan can run really fast now -- we almost lost him in the park last weekend if it weren't for a kind lady who was able to grab him so that we could catch up!
We hit a slight bump in the road regarding Tristan's sleep schedule. A couple weeks ago, we tried to transition him out of his crib onto a mattress on the floor. Needless to say, it didn't go very well, and Tristan is back in the crib for the time being :) We are ALL much happier now, though we are still trying to recover from the sleep disruption, and hoping that Tristan will return to his prior (really nice) sleep habits soon. On a positive note, Austin is doing much better at night now. We invested in yet another expensive piece of baby gear, but this one is well worth it -- the Amby Motion Bed! Works like a charm...he can sleep up to 6 hours at night now!
We are about to go on our first vacation with both kids. We'll be driving down the Oregon Coast, stopping along the way for a few days in Lincoln City and a few days in Bandon, then we'll be down in Ashland for the 4th of July. Should be an interesting road trip -- we've got the DVD player ready :)
